This page provides information on the recruitment and results of the Kamakura City team participating in the Kanagawa Sports Master Swimming Championships, a competition held between municipalities in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Information on participating in the Kanagawa Sports 2026 tournament

It's time for the Kanagawa Sports Festival! The competition will be held on Sunday, August 23rd at Hiratsuka General Park Pool. This year, we're aiming for third place in the team competition and will be participating in large numbers. We encourage everyone to participate and give their best, showcasing the results of their daily training.

Eligibility: Residents of Kamakura City aged 18 or older. (Masters registration not required)

We would appreciate it if university students, swimming coaches, and anyone you know who enjoys swimming or used to swim could help with recruitment and introductions.

The Kamakura Swimming Association budgets subsidies for its members, and this year, in addition to team subsidies, we will increase the subsidies to cover the annual membership fee for non-members, so that they will be treated the same as members. We will also subsidize the costs of running competitions.

This program is designed to be beneficial for both members and non-members.

[To all our members] You pay an annual membership fee (1,200 yen). As a person who continuously supports the association, you are eligible to receive subsidies.

• A participation subsidy of 1,600 yen for tournament participants.
  (400 yen from this amount will be allocated to the organizers' tournament operating expenses.)
• In other words, the amount you will have to pay is the individual event registration fee minus 1,200 yen.

[Non-members] You can receive the same subsidy (1,600 yen) as members by paying an annual registration fee (1,200 yen).

• Subsidy received: 1,600 yen - 1,200 yen = 400 yen subsidy
  (This will be used to cover the organizer's tournament operating expenses of 400 yen.)
• In other words, the only cost you will have to pay is the registration fee for your individual event.

Practice sessions at the Zenko 50m pool are scheduled for 7/20 (Sun) from 19:00 to 21:00 and 7/25 (Sat) from 15:00 to 17:00, with one session planned for August (date to be announced).

Application deadline: The Kamakura Swimming Association will collect applications and submit them to the Prefectural Swimming Federation, so please be sure to submit them by Tuesday, June 9th.

Desired Event: After we receive applications from everyone, we may ask you to change your desired event as a team. In that case, we will proceed while consulting with you individually. We will also adjust the relay team members.

Payment of participation fee:

Please transfer the payment to the account below along with your event registration. If we request any changes during the team finalization stage, we will contact you as soon as the participation fee changes.

Proof of payment is not required, but please inform the office of the payment date via email or other means.

Relay event registration: The Kamakura Swimming Association will cover the participation fee for relay events, so please feel free to register if you wish to participate.

On the application form, please circle the relay event you wish to participate in and write your preferred event in the margin.

However, only one team can be submitted for each age group (freestyle and medley). Please note that we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
